Banemore Organic Garden

Eileen and the Garden

The garden began in 2008 as a small organic plant nursery and has been GROWING ever since! I have always had a passion for plants and nature and the garden has been borne from that.

The garden is just under one acre and has been certified Organic with IOFGA for two years.  Here in the garden I grow plants in trays and pots such as Cabbage, Lettuce, Salad Leaves, Spinach, Kale and many more, with potted herbs being a big feature too. Anything for the Growers garden, big or small. I have a great passion for heritage and native varieties and try to grow these first and foremost, check out this seasons plants in Vegetable Plants and Herb Plants

I'm at The Limerick Market on Saturdays and at other plant events around the country, and once spring arrives the van is packed tight every friday evening ready for the following morning.

In the garden I have two small polytunnels where the plants are propagated and cared for until they are hardened off and sent off for sale. Sometimes it's a bit of a squeeze but it seems to work.

I also grow seasonal veg which is for home use and for sale during the winter months when there are very few plants available. I have a few hens too that are pushing on now and "Big Daddy" the Cockerel of course.

The garden is not open to the public but visits can be aranged by contacting me first.
